Authentication

Send your key in the X-API-Key header. You can also pass api_key as a query parameter.

Score a company

GET /api/v1/score?domain={domain}

Returns the Data Asset Score, the grade, the data the company likely holds, its history and activity status, and the signals that matched.

Parameter	Required	Description
`domain`	Yes	The company website, for example `labcorp.com`. Full URLs are accepted; we use the domain.

Each call counts as one lookup. Results are refreshed every 30 days. cached tells you if this result came from the last 30 days.

Company lists

GET /api/v1/segments

Lists the industry segments available, with the number of scored companies in each.

GET /api/v1/companies?segment={id}&min_score={0-100}&limit={1-100}&offset={n}

Returns scored companies in a segment, best first. Each company has the same fields as the score endpoint. One call returns up to 100 companies and counts as one lookup. Included in the Pro and Scale plans.

`labs-cro`	US labs, contract research organizations and life-science companies

Bulk export (Scale plan): add &format=csv to get the whole segment as one CSV file. It counts as one lookup.

Call /api/v1/segments for the current list of segments.

GET /api/v1/usage

Your plan, the lookups used this month and the lookups remaining.

Response fields

Field	Meaning
`data_asset_score`	0 to 100. How much valuable, sellable data the company likely holds.
`grade`	A (80+), B (65 to 79), C (50 to 64), D (35 to 49), E (under 35).
`status`	`active`, `winding_down_or_acquired`, `parked`, `unreachable` or `error`. Companies that close often sell their data.
`industry`	The company's category in our index and the industry group used for scoring.
`country`	The company's country in our index.
`history`	`first_seen_year` and `years_online`.
`likely_data_assets`	Data types the company likely holds, each with `medium` or `high` confidence. Types: `support_tickets`, `knowledge_base`, `crm_records`, `code_history`, `forum_archive`, `customer_accounts`, `transactions`, `call_recordings`, `training_content`, `recruiting_records`, `research_records`, `project_histories`.
`factor_groups`	The nine factor groups, each `strong`, `medium`, `weak` or `none`. Activity status is in `status`.
`factors_matched`	The signals we found, in plain words.
`in_index`	True when the domain is in our 102M-domain index.
`site_readable`	False when the site blocks automated reading. The score then relies on our index alone.

The score is an estimate from public signals, not a valuation or an offer. We publish the factor groups we measure. The weights and rules that combine them are our own.

Errors and limits

HTTP	error	Meaning
400	`invalid_domain`	The domain is not valid.
401	`missing_api_key`, `invalid_api_key`	No key, or the key is not active.
403	`plan_has_no_lists`	Company lists need the Pro or Scale plan.
429	`monthly_limit_reached`	You used this month's lookups. Limits reset on the first day of each month (UTC).
